On Sainthood - Or Lack Thereof

The great ancient Jewish leaders are never raised above the human level. Moses, Sarah, King David and King Solomon (among many others) have their human frailties recorded in the Bible for us to learn that even the greatest and most righteous human beings can improve through learning from their mistakes. Never presented as infallible, they modeled learning from mistakes. We too can (or should) recognize and acknowledge our mistakes, regret them, resolve and make sure not to do them again.
